RULES League Rules
3.1 Starts / Restarts: After the pace car leaves the track, and heads for pit road, ALL CARS will maintain pace speed until the spotter announces the green flag. No acceleration is permitted prior to the leader starting. NO jumping or hitting drivers that are maintaining pace of the leader on start/restart. Jumping is when you are on the inside of the person in front of you at or before the start/finish. also if you are more than .04 seconds behind the person in front of you it WILL be considered laying back. It will be the same penalty.DO NOT overdrive the car/truck into turn one. If you are overdriving your car/truck into turns on starts/restarts and cause a wreck you will have to serve a penalty. There will be no more restarts for not getting the first lap under green in the 3 series either.
3.2 Starting Lap: Prior to the drop of the green flag, the field will maintain a .2 - .4 second gap to the car in front.
3.4a: If you are unable to race at the leaders speed, to possibly get your lap back, give way to those on the lead lap. Do not race drivers that are not on the same lap as you. Use Auto chat to let drivers know where to pass you (high or low).
3.5 Entering Pits: When entering the pits, drop to the bottom groove and slow down making sure to enter the flat portion of the pit entrance at a safe speed so you don't spin up onto the track in front of oncoming traffic. Be sure to let the other drivers know what your intentions are by using Auto chat. Use the outside driving lane in the pits until you reach your pit stall.
3.5A: During a caution; If a driver is pitting and you are not, DO NOT SLOW FOR THE DRIVER THAT IS PITTING... Maintain pace speed NO EXCEPTIONS!!! DO NOT CAUSE A DRIVER BEHIND YOU A BLACK FLAG.. You will not get a black flag if you pass the driver that is pitting if you are not..
3.5B: PIT COMMIT LINES. Most tracks already have a commit line and some do not. For tracks with a pit commit line use it. Without a line go 100 or so Yards before every pit lane is a commit line once you have passed that point you may not re-enter the track. You must pit!!! There will be no faking pit entry, this causes black flag and penalty issues within the sim.
3.6 Exiting Pits: When exiting the pits, use Auto chat to let the other drivers know that you are exiting the pits. Stay below the white line and enter the track on the back straightaway, making sure the track behind you is clear. Just because the spotter says "merge when you can" doesn't mean it's necessarily safe to do so. Stay low until you are up to speed.
3.9 Blocking and Racing Lines: In online racing it is important to give room to the drivers you are racing against to ensure clean and FUN racing. You cannot drift out or chop down on another driver if you do NOT have the proper positioning alongside the driver in front of you. Unlike real racing, the blind spots are much larger and the collision detection is not perfect. We are all racing for FUN and nobody needs a race ruined by someone driving too aggressive. If someone gets by, then get them back the next corner(s), do not run them off course. The passing driver must also show some restraint and make sure the opportunity to pass exists. A last minute, out of control lunge inside another driver that results in you getting your front wheels inside their rears as they turn in for the corner in no way justifies you the racing line. The key to remember is that if a person isn't visibly ahead or in your mirrors, you MUST assume they are beside you and give them their lane. Drivers may NOT block during the race. Blocking is defined as a change of line that oppresses a pass. However, when there is 2 laps or less to go, drivers may block as they wish to retain their position, only without risking or causing an incident.
Section 4.1a Lucky Dog
Once the caution flag come out and you are the first person 1 lap down you WILL be the lucky dog.
Unless that person was the cause of the caution that will put the driver on the lead lap.
Flaming
6.1 Tolerance: Flaming of any type will not be tolerated in any form. Drivers meeting's, race sessions and practice sessions are not places to show your frustrations toward any driver or group. If you flame anyone you will be removed from the league and any league in the XNSRL Racing Group!
6.2 Examples of Flaming: Below are some examples of what is considered flaming. There are numerous forms of flaming, and if it is found that your message is considered flaming, you will be ejected from the race. If you have a difference with someone, take care of it after the race and privately.
"Your a wrecker!"
"You can't drive"
"Get out of here"
"Thanks for nothing"
"What was that driver?"
"Why did you hit me?"
"WTF"
